CLIMATE YOUTHS
Youth-Centred Participatory Video Production As A Tool For Empowering Young People To Tackle Climate Change.
ClimateYouthsPV is a KA205 project funded under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission.
Through this project, 4 organizations from different EU countries are contributing to the 13th Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nations through a series of training activities focused on fighting against climate change.
The methodology used in the project is Participatory Video. Through it, we are empowering young people to take action on climate change, facilitating their access and understanding of the topic.
The training activities will be focused on training young people and youth workers, having envisioned two training courses to each of the target groups.
Project Objectives
Objectives of ClimateYouthsPV:
- To provide an accessible way for young people to take action on climate change, through deepening their understanding, engaging and motivating their wider community, and also shaping and creating their own PV, in order to communicate their messages and perspectives to decision-makers and the public.
- To deliver training courses to directly train the target group (young people) in a set of skills and key competences related to PV production and, also, to deliver these courses to a target group of Youth workers, in order to amplify and perpetuate the ripple effect of those courses.
