STREM
Stressless Employees – Introducing The Profile Of Employee Satisfaction Officer To Tackle Work-Related Stress
Reward & Employee Benefits Association researchers from 2018 and 2019 showed the importance of the provision of wellbeing services for employee engagement and the creation of a positive working culture. According to the survey from 2019, employees’ mental health has become one of the most relevant topics at present time. “Many C-suite directors recognize that the workplaces of today are highly pressurized and often stressful (or as recruitment adverts like to gloss it up, fast-paced) which takes its toll on workforces.
Almost three-quarters of our respondents say high pressure and high-intensity environments” Findings from 2018 research shows that 35% of the participants provide training for line managers to assist the support and promotion of employee wellbeing, and 34.3% of the participants require all employees to complete the training mandatory. It has become apparent that businesses, entities, and NGOs are more consent to provide all the necessary knowledge and skills for the employees including skills to cope with their well-being.
Stress in the workplace is one of the greatest challenges in work settings of companies and NGOs, and a major cause of sickness, poor productivity and performance, accidents and human errors. Workplace stress apart from the economic implications for the company and individuals, is known to have adverse effect on employees’ health, as it has indectly linked employees low productivity and effectiveness and their well-being and is likely to be preventable.
