VR-ACE: Virtual Reality For Accelerated Career Entry For Young Job Seekers

The VR-ACE project addresses the challenges young people face when entering the labour market, particularly their difficulties in succeeding during interviews. It develops educational tools in the form of a digital handbook and Virtual Reality (VR) scenarios to strengthen the skills of young job seekers in job applications and interview techniques, enhancing their transversal skills and increasing their employment prospects.

The EU prioritises the employability of young people, launching various studies, frameworks, policies, and activities to address this issue. Despite these efforts, specific challenges persist in achieving EU objectives. These challenges include barriers to accessing the labour market, a lack of multidisciplinary educational and training opportunities tailored to the needs of young job seekers, and a demand for educators to provide more practical and relevant learning experiences to support their transition to employment.

General Objectives

GO1: To support young jobseekers in their pursuit of gainful employment.
GO2: To equip young jobseekers with the tools and resources they need to present themselves effectively during job interviews, and stand out from the crowd.
GO3: To provide young jobseekers with the opportunity to gain transversal skills that are highly valued by employers and essential for success in the workplace.
GO4: To reduce youth unemployment, a priority that has been at the core of EU policies for many years, especially after Covid 19, which has caused the unemployment rate to a rise among young people, erasing achievements made pre-pandemic.
GO5: To foster the development of youth educators’ capacity to effectively support young people in preparing for the job market
