Transnational Strategy Of Green Education, Educational Tourism And Sustainable Development Of Urban Areas
The “GREEN URBAN PATHS” (G&PS) project creates educational tools for adults to engage with green urban environments, addressing the need for increased environmental awareness and sustainable living skills. As urbanization leads to a disconnect with nature, this project targets adult learners to bridge this gap. It aims to enhance environmental literacy, fostering sustainable behaviors and community engagement.
The project anticipates a ripple effect, where educated individuals influence their peers, promoting broader societal changes towards sustainability. Digital learning tools ensure wide accessibility, amplifying the project’s impact. Key results include G&PS EDU (educational resources), G&PS HUB (a digital hub with all project materials), and G&PS A/VR (an augmented reality app and online game for interactive learning).
General Objectives:
- GO1: Develop and provide innovative educational resources and methodologies focused on green urban sustainability.
- GO2: Enhance the environmental awareness and practical skills of adult learners in urban settings.
- GO3: Foster community involvement and engagement in sustainable urban practices.
- GO4: Utilize digital tools to ensure broad accessibility and dissemination of educational materials.
