GEO-TOURS GUIDES

Enhancement Of Tour Guides And Agents Competences On Geological Tours And Brand Building.

The “Geo-Tours Guides” project aims to address the challenges faced by tourist guides and agencies in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly focusing on the need for upskilling and reskilling in the tourism sector.

With a focus on sustainability and digitalization, the project seeks to develop a novel training package for tourist guides, students, and agencies, with a specific emphasis on geological thematic tours.

Through this project, participants will enhance their branding skills, strengthen their geological competencies, and diversify their tour portfolios to align with the evolving preferences of tourists.

The project also includes the development of an e-learning platform and training materials, ensuring accessibility and sustainability beyond the project’s duration. Through collaborative efforts and multi-stakeholder engagement, the project aims to contribute to the revitalization and resilience of the tourism sector, while promoting geotourism as an environmentally friendly and culturally enriching travel experience.
