Supporting Marginalized Young Adults To Enter Labour Market Through Innovative Career Mentoring Model

Eurostat data from 2018 indicates that about 25% of young people (aged 16 to 29) were living on the brink of poverty or social exclusion. These individuals, for various reasons, lacked the same opportunities as their peers to adequately prepare for education or future employment.

This group includes those not engaged in education or work, migrants, the disabled, individuals with criminal records, among others. Often, they play a passive role in planning their career paths, which is insufficient in today’s demanding labor market.

The ENTER project aims to support the inclusion and employability of young people from vulnerable groups through an innovative career mentoring model. This approach will offer quality assistance to these young individuals, helping them overcome barriers to employment.

The project will involve two main target groups: adult educators and young people from vulnerable backgrounds. Throughout the project, guidelines will be created to assist adult educators, and educational materials will be developed for tutors and mentors who will work directly with these young people.

Objectives of the project:

  • to empower adult educators with an innovative methodology of career-oriented mentoring, which will accelerate the inclusion and employment of lower-qualified young people from various vulnerable groups
  • to support adult educators in expanding their services with an innovative curriculum and methodology for career mentoring and in advertising high-quality educational services in non-formal education organizations and institutions
  • to empower adult educators and enable them to be able to successfully support the individual career development and ambitions of lower-qualified, unemployed young people and thus help them coordinate their knowledge with the high demands of the labor market
  • with the help of a new tool, foster the employment and social educational and personal development of lower qualified young people from various vulnerable groups. This tool will be developed with the aim of the target group acquiring and developing quality skills and competencies in the field of career management.
