DG VET

Innovative Training Material And Methodology To Support The Development Of Marketable Digital And Green Skills Of NEET Youth From Rural Areas To Empower Their Employability

The DG-VET project addresses critical needs in vocational education and training (VET) by empowering NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, particularly young women in rural areas, with marketable digital and green skills.

The project aims to bridge the digital divide, match skills to job requirements in the emerging Digital and Green Economy sectors, and foster policy engagement for supportive youth-oriented VET programs. By enhancing the competencies of VET teachers and trainers, and providing innovative tools and methodologies, DG-VET supports local and regional economic development, creates job opportunities, and promotes social inclusion.

The project’s impact extends to national and European levels, influencing policymakers and contributing to a smart, resilient European Green Economy aligned with the EU’s Green Deal objectives. Through extensive dissemination and sustainability strategies, DG-VET ensures long-term benefits and transferability of its outcomes, fostering collaboration and best practices across the VET sector.
