Course Description
Health and Emotional education is addressed teachers/trainers/tutors any specialization, anyone who would like to enrich their repertoire / knowledge of teaching techniques and ideas concerning the development of daily healthy habits (exercise, eating healthy, connection to nature), the personal development (emotional balance, stress management skills, etc) and generally the development of life skills of their learners.
Participants will study how developing healthy lifestyle habits influence their life and how thoughts and feelings influence behavior. They become acquainted with activities that they can implement in their classes to create healthy habits and routines and activities on how to build strong relationships (among the learners and between teacher/trainer/tutor and learners).
Through interactive activities, participants will study the value of developing healthy lifestyle habits, positive thinking, and reinforcement, self-esteem, active listening, giving feedback, problem-solving, democracy in decision making and resolution of conflicts.
The teachers / trainers / tutors will be able to feel more confident with their ability to create a positive and effective climate in their classrooms and make every day an unforgettable journey. The course will be based on the principles of Health and Emotional Education and the latest pedagogical methods will be used, aiming at the qualitative improvement of teaching and learning processes, setting a good model and examples of cultivation and improvement of healthy living and emotional balance.
The course will be based in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. In order to conduct the practical modules, there will be study visits to Cape Greko which is located in the South-Eastern coast of the island (by the sea), to a bio-farm or at Troodos Mountain Range. Through experiential activities and a variety of pedagogic techniques (e.g. lecture, field visits, workshops) participants will become acquainted with activities that they can implement to promote health and emotional education inside and outside the classroom setting.

- Have a forest walk in Platania and do various activities there (including working with Communication tools: use of a personality test)
- Study visit of a traditional village and connection with local people: visit the scenic Kakopetria village.

How can I register for the Course I have chosen?
Complete the contact form and our Erasmus coordinator will guide you through the registration process.
Where can I apply for E.U funding?
You must talk to the Erasmus coordinator of your school / organisation. This is the responsible person to apply for a fund for your mobility.
Can I pay for the fees myself if I do not receive a fund?
Yes, this is also possible. You can pay for the expenses yourself.
Where will the participants meet for the Courses? / What’s the company’s address?

Does the Company offer sightseeing services? Like trips to places of interest?
Stando can give information and ideas for trips around the island or places to eat but we do not organize these trips outside the schedule of our Courses. There are however planned trips scheduled, as part of our Outdoor Courses; just have a look at the Outdoor Course detailed program or ask the Erasmus coordinator for the schedule to be sent to you.
Which hotel do you work with?

Can I book extra nights at the hotel?
Certainly, at an extra charge. It’s price depending whether you choose a Single, Twin or Triple room.
Are there any transport services from the airports?
Yes, apart from private taxis, an affordable service is “Kapnos Airport Shuttle”: You can book your transfer online to Nicosia from Larnaka and Paphos airport. You need to go onto their website, register and book your route.

Who provides the learning agreement between the hosting and the sending organisations?
Your Erasmus coordinator is responsible for providing you with the agreement, which needs to be filled with your personal and school information. After this is completed, you must send it to our Erasmus coordinator (support@standoltd.com) who will complete all remaining information and send it back to you signed. We also keep a copy of that for record purposes.
What’s the difference between an Indoor and an Outdoor Course?
An indoor Course takes place at the Organisation’s premises whereas an Outdoor Course has Outdoor Venues depending on the Schedule for each Course. More details on our website under each Course specifications.
